The MVHS Purple Team supports all military-connected students by providing helpful resources as they PCS (transfer) to Mount Vernon, creating a safe space for students to thrive, inspiring others to become active participants in the Mount Vernon Community, and celebrating our unique culture and experiences together!

The Military and Family Life Counseling Program helps active duty military families and children navigate challenges with free face to face support. MFLCs provide non-medical counseling services to students and families in groups and individually. Support is provided at no cost and is confidential with the exception to meet legal obligations to include requirements of the law or duty to warn situations.

  • Time management
  • Self-esteem
  • Sibling and parent-child communication
  • Behavioral concerns
  • Stress management
  • Divorce
  • Fear, grief and loss

 

MVHS Purple Team & Student Ambassadors

The MVHS Purple Team and Ambassadors are organizations led by military-connected students for military-connected students.

The Purple Team supports all school-sponsored activities for military-connected students, and our Purple Team Ambassadors provide support to new students who move to the area.
